Our Objectives
Through the creation of a sustainable business that positively impacts autistic and underprivileged groups in Thailand, Knit to Cure utilizes the benefits of knitting as a means to help individuals gain positivity in both body and mind. The results are tangible products that not only generate income but also enhance self-esteem for the creators to lead a meaningful life.
Core Values
C
Connection
Knitting connects people; creating bonds between all genders, ages and abilities. From the rural communities where
raw material is bought, to
the empowered individual knitting vibrant products to finally the end
user supporting local businesses. This is the supportive impact Knit-to-Cure creates for the community.
S
Sustainability
Through Knit-to-Cure, the raw materials have been sourced from small ethnic groups in the mountainous regions of northern Thailand. Supporting and preserving these hilltribe communities have been my main initiative to reach out to those who would otherwise be forgotten.
C
Confidence
Knitting requires patience and peace. I believe individuals experience a healthy level of comfort during the process which will ultimately bolster their confidence and improve overall mental health. It not only impacts positively on the body and mind, but the resulting product, tangible and much-appreciated, will enhance self-esteem and eventually lead to a meaningful and purposeful life.
